MEGAN CARTY "Good Day Sunshine"

Come celebrate the solo exhibition of Megan Carty's "Good Day Sunshine" at the Blochaus Art Gallery on December 2nd, 2023 from 6-8 PM.  

Small bites and complimentary drinks will be available. 

Megan’s abstract work has been featured by Anthropologie, CBS Sunday Morning, and

numerous publications. Her paintings make use of an array of eye-catching colors and organic

gestures. These energized compositions work to express all the events and emotions we

experience at once in our everyday lives. In the words of Megan, “we are ALL “works in

progress;” learning and improving every day”.

Good Day, Sunshine pays homage to the simple pleasures of daily life that go unnoticed. These

moments of joy come and go with all the other challenges and events of life. Good Day,

Sunshine exhibits “a fusion of gestural paint strokes, forming clusters reminiscent of clouds,

alongside dynamic lines and marks, mirrors the energetic cadence of life's push and pull—the

emotional tempests that echo the capriciousness of weather patterns”.

moments of adversity swiftly replaced by serenity”
